Dear ASPECT Trust,

Thank you very much for the $1,500 contribution towards my costs of competing as a member of Athletics New Zealand’s Track & Field team at the 2014 Oceania Area Championships, held in Rarotonga.

I enjoyed both the competition and being part ofthe NZ team. I met new people and have formed some new friendships.

I competed in the Under 20y Octathlon (100m, 400m 110m hurdles, 1000m, high jump, long jump, javelin and shot put) and was placed third. I also competed in the Men’s under 20 discuss and placed second.

I found the whole experience really great and l learnt a lot about myself and where I want to head to with my athletics. My goal is to achieve over 6000 points in the 2014/15 season for a decathlon.
