One of South Canterbury’s brightest young athletes Jorja has been turning heads with some outstanding performances and achievements in recent years. A massive 2021 saw Jorja represent Canterbury in the Farah Palmer Cup, make the 2021 NZ Condor Secondary Schools Sevens Team and to top it all off become a fully contracted member of the Black ferns for 2022. This year shapes up as a big one for Jorja as she looks to cement her place in our National Women’s 7’s team, based in Mount Maunganui and continue her studies part time. Her immediate goal is to attend the Paris 2024 Olympics with the Black Ferns.

Jorja says: “Ultimately my end goal is to inspire younger generations and build a pathway that others can follow, while getting involved within the community and different groups and encouraging others to have a go at rugby”.
